ARIELLE RAYCENE – ACTRESS AND SOMETIMES FUNNY PERSON

Arielle Raycene is a talented and accomplished actress, writer, and producer. She has made a name for herself in the entertainment industry with her impressive range of skills and her dedication to her craft.

Born and raised in New York City, Raycene began her career in the arts as a dancer. She trained in ballet, jazz, and modern dance, and performed in numerous productions throughout her childhood and teenage years. However, it was her love of acting that eventually led her to pursue a career in the performing arts.

After graduating from high school, Raycene attended New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Drama. During her time at NYU, she honed her acting skills and gained valuable experience performing in a variety of productions.

Following graduation, Raycene began to make a name for herself in the New York theater scene. She appeared in numerous off-Broadway productions, and her performances garnered critical acclaim and attention from industry professionals. In addition to her work on stage, Raycene also began to pursue opportunities in film and television.

In 2013, Raycene made her screen debut in the independent film “The Magic City.” She went on to appear in a number of other films and television shows, including “The Blacklist,” “The Leftovers,” and “The Good Wife.” Her performances have been praised for their depth, nuance, and emotional resonance.

In addition to her work as an actress, Raycene is also a talented writer and producer. She has written and produced a number of short films, including “The Last Visit” and “The Third Date,” both of which have been screened at film festivals around the world. Her writing has been praised for its wit, humor, and insight into the human experience.

We were honored to discuss her newest project with Mel Gibson:

What was it like working with Mel Gibson, Kate Bosworth, Nick Stahl, and Dominic Purcell in CONFIDENTIAL INFORMANT?

Working with Mel Gibson, Kate Bosworth, Nick Stahl, and Dominic Purcell in CONFIDENTIAL INFORMANT was an incredible experience. It was an honor to collaborate with such talented actors, and being part of a lineup of legends was truly humbling. Kate Bosworth, in particular, was someone I greatly admired since watching her in Blue Crush and being able to work alongside her was a dream come true. I wanted to be a surfer after that movie. Turns out Kansas doesn’t have an ocean, so I became a swimmer instead haha. Overall, it was a privilege to work with such an esteemed group of individuals, and I learned a lot from each of them.

What can you tell us about your character Ginger in CONFIDENTIAL INFORMANT?

Ginger is a multi-dimensional character in CONFIDENTIAL INFORMANT, and her role in the story is complex. As a single mother, she works hard to provide for her child, and her job at an exotic nightclub allows her to make ends meet.

To prepare for the role, I immersed myself in the world of pole dancing and strip clubs, gaining insight into the physical demands of the job and the skills required to perform at a high level. And wow those women know a thing or a thousand about their body and how to move. Take the stripping part out of it and it’s a really good workout that gets you in tune with your femininity and your body, if you don’t mind the bruises that will come I say give it a try.

What made you decide you wanted to pursue acting? Did you always aspire to be in this career?

Since I was a child, I have always been drawn to the world of acting. It’s been a constant passion of mine but when I was little, I also wanted to be a pop star, a director, a mom with 100 kids who lived on a farm, and a veterinarian haha. As I grew older, my love for acting only grew stronger, and I realized that it was the path I wanted to pursue wholeheartedly. While I still remain open to exploring other opportunities both within and outside the industry, acting has always been my ultimate dream and I am excited to see where it takes me.

Have you faced any challenges as an actress who began their career more in the influencer space?

I began my career as an actor and model when I was very young and had to start over in LA when I graduated. I think more than being an influencer, it’s just about paving your own way and figuring out what works and what doesn’t. One of the biggest challenges has been figuring out how to navigate the entertainment industry in a way that is authentic to me, while also leveraging my social media presence to further my career.

One of the biggest misconceptions about influencers is that they are not “real” actors or performers. However, many influencers are incredibly talented and have a lot to offer the entertainment industry. The challenge is finding the right balance between creating content that resonates with your audience and pursuing more traditional acting or modeling roles that may not have the same level of immediate visibility.

Another challenge that I have faced is overcoming stereotypes about influencers. There is a perception that influencers are only interested in promoting products or building their own personal brands, rather than pursuing serious acting or modeling work. However, I have found that by staying true to myself and my values, and by continuing to hone my craft as an actor and performer, I have been able to break down some of these stereotypes and build a successful career in both the influencer and entertainment spaces.

At the end of the day, I think the key to success as an actor or influencer is to be persistent, hard-working, and willing to adapt to changing trends and new opportunities. Whether you are starting out in the influencer space and hoping to break into acting, it’s important to stay focused on your goals and never give up on your dreams.

What can you share with us about your other business, Real AF, and how would you describe it to someone who isn’t a tech whiz?

Think of it as any regular social media platform like Instagram but then add the fact that you can 3D videos for AR, Web, and VR. This is the beginning of the spatial media. Apple goggles will be coming out at the beginning of next year and with it will come the beginning of the spatial web. You can think of the spatial web as the intersection of the digital and physical worlds, enabling users to interact with digital and physical worlds, enabling users to interact with digital content in a three-dimensional space.

Real AF is a social media platform that introduces the concept of spatial media. It can be described as a regular social media platform like Instagram but with the added feature of 3D videos for AR, Web, and VR. Spatial media is the future of digital content and Real AF is at the forefront of this technology. With the upcoming release of Apple goggles next year, the beginning of the spatial web will also begin. The spatial web is the intersection of the digital and physical worlds, allowing users to interact with digital content in a three-dimensional space. Real AF is an innovative platform that is leading the way in the evolution of social media and digital content creation.

What interested you in becoming the face of Real AF?

Real AF’s commitment to authenticity and transparency really resonates with me. I appreciate that there won’t be any use of beauty apps or manipulate bodies with special software that blocks it out and that we will utilize a 360 volumetric studio, which makes it impossible to hide imperfections.

In today’s social media world, there is a lot of pressure to conform to unrealistic beauty standards, and I think it’s important to have a platform that celebrates realness and diversity. The new normal shouldn’t be about smooth skin, unrealistic body sizes, and looking like someone else entirely. Real AF offers a refreshing alternative to the endless stream of edited and filtered content, and I’m proud to be a part of that movement. Ultimately, being your best self means being your real self, and Real AF embraces that philosophy.

So far in your acting career, you have done roles in the comedy, horror, and drama space. Which has been your favorite so far? Is there a specific genre you haven’t done yet that you still want to do?

As an actor, I’ve been fortunate to have played diverse roles across different genres including comedy, horror, and drama. While each role has presented its own unique challenges, I must say that my favorite experience so far has been in the comedy genre. There’s something about making people laugh that brings me immense joy and satisfaction.

That being said, there’s a specific genre that I haven’t had the opportunity to explore yet, but I’m really looking forward to doing so – time period pieces. I’m fascinated by history and the idea of immersing myself in a different time period, playing a character from a bygone era, really excites me. I’d love to be part of a dramatic period piece or even a romantic comedy set in a different time period.

Apart from that, I’m also interested in exploring the suspense genre. Although I admit, I get easily stressed out watching suspenseful movies, the idea of playing a character who is part of a gripping and intense storyline is something that really appeals to me. Ultimately, as an actor, I’m always looking for roles that challenge me and push me to explore different sides of myself.
