Agatha Ruiz de la Prada (Madrid, 1960) studied at the School of Arts and Fashion Techniques in Barcelona. While in her twenties, she started working as an assistant in the Madrid studio of fashion designer Pepe Rubio. A year later, she launched her first collection at the LOCAL design centre in Madrid.
Since that time, Agatha has shown in the world’s fashion capitals —Paris, Milan, New York, Florence, Madrid…— and has been the guest of honour and representative of Spanish fashion at the world’s greatest fashion catwalks.
The designer’s creations have become a true means of artistic expression and, since her early years in the fashion world she has been exhibiting her masterpieces in galleries and museums in cities in Europe, America and Asia.
