The Evolution of Bella Hadid: Nineteen & Non-Stop

2016 was, no doubt, the year of the Hadid’s. However, we can’t take our eyes off the middle sibling of the model family, Bella. She is just nineteen years old and rocking barely-there silk gowns, with style continuously keeping us on our toes. But let’s not forget her very girl-next-door roots. Remember, every fashion fireball starts from somewhere.

2013

Bella’s go-to looks revolved around florals, vintage tee-shirts, Doc. Martens, and more color than her normal dark scheme today. Let’s not forget she was a senior in high school at the time, making “playful” and “sassy” keywords in her style vocabulary.

2014

Her transformation into full-force model began. She began to show signs of an edgier palette when she wore a classic little black dress to her senior prom. Soon after graduation, Bella signed with IMG Models. Bright-bubble gum vintage tees and florals made an appearance here and there, but her new normal became ripped boyfriend jeans paired with black tops and minimal accessories.

2015

The middle Hadid model didn’t look back in 2015 during her most escalating year yet. From the CDFA Fashion Awards and the Global Lyme Alliance Gala, to the VOGUE 95th Anniversary Party and the Met Gala, Bella made black her trademark color. In addition to mesh, lace, leather, and more lace. When she wasn’t on the red carpet, Adidas jumpsuits became a huge staple piece of hers. Can anyone say Sporty Spice 2.0?

2016

Today, Bella Hadid’s looks are more unpredictable than ever. She was born to wear black (take a look at her 2016 Met Gala and Grammy dresses), but ever since her appearance in her boyfriend’s, The Weeknd, “In The Night” music video, Bella’s making red hot moves in the fashion world. It’s impossible to forget that barely-there Alexandre Vauthier number she wore to the Cannes Film Festival this year, drawing attention from all over the world. In 2016, she was also spotted out and about in New York City and at Coachella in head-to-toe denim. Denim skirts, jackets, jeans, bralettes, dresses, you name it. The year is only halfway done and for all we know, we can’t wait to see what 2017 holds for this mega-model.
