Valentino has now teamed up with the undercover lab for their “Valentino Undercover” Autumn/Winter men’s collection.
The Premier pre-release was exclusively held at the undercover lab’s Aoyama, minato flagship store, Tokyo’s executive class district for art, architecture and high fashion. The collection unveiled things out of this world, no literally, I spotted flying saucers somewhere on every piece seen at least…
I especially enjoyed seeing the 16th century Renaissance masquerade masks on the mannequin with the colonial era feathers coming out of the hat. An ingenious combination from Piccioli, literally thrusting to the future with the garments along with an inversion back to the past with the accessories.
This is a match made in Heaven… or in a faraway planet in another galaxy, whichever you prefer.
Piccioli and a Jun Hakatashi combination in one collection set’s it off!
The pre-released drop on the 12th of July in the flagship store while the official global import’s of the collection started on the 27th
As you can see some of the collection is still decorated in key graphic patterns of Valentino along with the collection’s signature UFO patterns.
Hopefully, the collection hit’s store’s in the U.S soon, two amazing artists’s in the realms of fashion have teamed up to create a timeless collection.
