ROBERTO TORRETA #MBFWMADRID

Roberto Torretta (Buenos Aires). He arrived in Spain in 1972 and settled in Madrid, where he began in the fashion world.

Elegant clothes for every day, combining practicality, formality and glamour, are a powerful message, a statement of intent that Roberto Torretta wants to capture in his collection for spring/summer 2020.

Calm colours and luxury materials are integrated into refined, super feminine garments. Elegant wraparound dresses with infinite sleeves and elaborate pleats, in “liberty” and “Monet” printed silk, reinforced with the attitude of Marissa Berenson in the late 1970s, the most capricious evening designs in black silk moire and rhinestones.

Roberto Torretta has a no holds barred approach to tailoring. The designer gives a nod to “new wave” in “very-over” beige and ecru twill jackets. See the free combination of cigarette trousers teamed up with small beige, green and burgundy pied de poul jackets with three-dimensional floral technical mesh tops and Bermuda jumpsuits in tone-on-tone Prince of Wales.

Layered garments are essential in this silhouette in this collection SS2019.

Roberto Torretta’s renowned leather garments and the inclusion of shoes, glasses and accessories in his collections make Roberto Torretta’s designs for spring/summer 2020 even more relevant.
