The Bowery Hotel was aflutter with models, make-up artists and photographers as Kimora Lee Simmons’s Spring 2018 presentation prepared to take place. Eleven models prepared to stand tall on three white platforms, switching every 10 minutes to reveal a new look from the collection. The Moroccan theme was set in motion by the skillful tones of a single musician in the corner of the room, his hands moving effortlessly over the steel handspan. The collection featured a simple color palette with the highlight of the show featuring the beautiful Ming Lee Simmons. The 17-year-old Ming made her model debut at the Bowery for this seasons collection. Judging from the audience and photographer’s reaction, Ming and Simmons have a bright future ahead.
The fantastic work by the hair team lead by Jorge Luis for Sally Hershberger 24K Hair Products fully complimented Kimora’s collection. This is Mr. Luis first season with Sally Hershberger, Jorge has been a lead for NYFW for almost a decade with a portfolio of many top magazines and top designers under his belt.
