SETH LEE – DEDICATED TO HIS CRAFT

We sat down with Seth to chat about his upcoming film BUGS, what’s on the horizon for his band, Blowing Raspberries, and his recent campaign for one of the most sought after designer brands. As a 21-year-old, it’s clear that he has more on his plate than most young men his age, so he can share how he stays dedicated to his craft, and tips for maintaining balance.

You’ve had a phenomenal career working with some of the biggest names in Hollywood. Are there any specific directors or actors you’d love to work with in the future?

There’s certainly a lot of collaborators I’d still love to work with. Paul Thomas Anderson and David Lynch are at the top of the list. Punch Drunk Love and Mulholland Drive are some of my favorite movies so it only makes sense.

When it comes to actors, it’d be amazing to share the screen with a powerful force like Jaoquin Phoenix. I also love tuning into anything starring Saoirse Ronan, so definitely another I look up to.

Tell us about your band Blowing Raspberries. Can we expect new music this year?

That’s definitely our goal! We came together some time last year and have been playing gigs around LA since. If you’re a fan of Patti Smith or Arctic Monkeys, you’ll want to tune into what we have in store. It’s been a great experience so far, and can’t wait to share our songs with everyone.

Who inspires you in your personal and professional life?

My Dad and my sisters constantly inspire me everyday in my personal life. If I can be an ounce of the being that they are, I know I’ve done something right. In terms of career inspirations, I love what Robert Pattinson has been able to do. Going from a franchise like Twilight to doing a film with Robert Eggers, The Lighthouse, is so impressive. His range is unlike most that I’ve seen. Also once a co-star, Ben Affleck’s writing and acting capabilities inspire me as well, as I aspire to do the same.

Walk us through your skin care routine.

My routine starts off with a nice gentle cleanser, then applying the proper toner. On the right night, I’ll exfoliate. It’s super important to not do this too often though, especially if you have sensitive skin. I learned that the hard way. Topping it off with a nice moisturizer and sunscreen!

What does luxury mean to you?

Luxury can mean a lot of things. To me, it describes any sort of craftsmanship handled with care and detail. This can apply to anything from our clothing, or even the latest record you’re spinning on your turntable.

When you aren’t working, what could we find you doing in your free time?

Depending on the season, I find myself either snowboarding or surfing out here in California. I try to make sure even in my free time I’m keeping myself active.  I also love checking out my local record stores or catching up with my favorite vintage vendor @WorldVTG.

What advice would you give to anyone trying to find their own path in this industry?

My best piece of advice is to find those other special interests that make you shine. This will help separate you from the pack, and make people notice you. Whether it’s music, dance, or even photography. The industry is constantly looking for unique voices and perspectives.

What’s next for you?

Coming up I have a film titled, BUGS, as well as another indie called The Midway Point. These will hopefully arrive something this year or the following. And of course, stay tuned for more updates on the Blowing Raspberries.
