Not too long ago Kim K shared one of her latest beauty obsession on her app: MaskeAide facial sheet masks! Battling ugly cry face, all-nighters, harsh weather, growing up and stress is all in a 20 minute days work for these cheeky sheet masks.
Sheet masks have been celeb and blogger favorites for the good part of 2016 and are having a major moment on social media. But before you run out to buy this beauty must-have with a laundry list of ingredients you can’t read (been there, done that), think about what you are putting on you face and how it will be beneficial.
We love MaskerAide sheet masks because they are, transparent with their ingredients, environmentally conscious and a non-toxic product. Each sheet mask is drenched in a highly concentrated Argan Oil based serum jam-packed with vitamins and nutrients. Plus, MaskerAide’s ethics as a beauty company in rolling out a fabulous product won them the “European Award for the Environment” by the European Union.
Maskeraide uses two types of highly concentrated serums – one is a clear based serum and the other is a cream:
The clear serum is lighter in consistency, is great for day or night time use and before makeup application (clear serum masks include ALL NIGHTER, DETOX DIVA, and PRE PARTY PREP).
The cream based serum is slightly heavier and is recommended for use in the evening and when relaxing before bed (cream serum masks include BEAUTY REST’ORE, I DON’T WANNA GROW UP and WEATHER WARRIOR).
As much as Maskeraide loves to fill their serums with amazing ingredients, they also focus on eliminating ingredients too. They worked tirelessly to remove any trace of ingredients that could negatively affect their customers’ health.
Maskeraide masks are:
Effective – Provides the skin with a bottle worth of nutrition and hydration in one mask and in a short period of time.
Anti-Bacterial – Due to its moisture management, their sheet mask material TENCEL® is anti-bacterial.
Great for Sensitive Skin – their masks smooth fiber surface feels soft and supple against the skin. Each formula is gentle enough for the most sensitive of skin types.
Vegan Friendly – They do not add any ingredients derived from animals. They are also are a cruelty-free company, and do not test on animals.
Minimal Eco Footprint – Maskeraide masks are eco-friendly! The outer package of the mask is recyclable while the sheet mask is biodegradable (certified 100% biodegradable by the International Forest Stewardship Council). Their masks are made from a natural cellulose found in wood pulp from sustainable eucalyptus tree farms (no old growth forests, genetic manipulation, irrigation, or pesticides are used). These forests and the pulp produced for their masks have earned Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification that the products come from socially and environmentally responsible forests. The European Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification has also endorsed the farming practices of the pulp as sustainable. This material eliminates the negative environmental impacts of the more common traditional fibres that other sheet mask companies use.
Non-Toxic – The chemicals used to produce their masks are non-toxic. In addition, the cellulose or ground pulp used is treated in what is known as a closed loop process in which these solvents are recycled with a recovery rate of 99.5%. The tiny amount of remaining emissions is decomposed in biological purification plants. Because of the nature of the material, the processing never requires bleach. This overall method of manufacturing fabric was awarded the “European Award for the Environment” by the European Union.
