Lapalme Magazine had the opportunity to sit down with Frankie and hear what this artist had to say about his music, the creative process, and the future of Frankie Zulferino

Frankie Zulferino’s dance hits have a positive and upbeat vibe that makes people want to get up and move. When asked about the process behind his latest project, “Drippin’ in Love,” Frankie said his biggest goal was to “create something that felt good.”

“I feel like a lot of music has just been so dark lately, and I really wanted to give people something that felt bright, positive, and happy again.”

Zulferino said that the process of putting his album together took about six months. When the album was finally recorded live, Zulferino said the project was on a whole other level. When you listen to the tracks on “Drippin’ in Love,” you can feel the passion the entire project portrays.

When asked about his biggest inspirations in the music business, Zulferino was quick to talk about the great Elvis Presley. The power of Presley’s performances is something that inspires Frankie to give his all on the stage. “To me, Elvis [Presley] is truly a Rockstar. I just love everything he’s embodied and how passionate of a performer he was. I would say as an artist, that’s always inspired me to go on stage and give it my all every time.”

In addition to the King, Frankie listed Janet Jackson, Usher, JLo, Elton John, Paula Abdul, and Lizzo as some of his biggest inspirations and hopeful collaborators.

When asked about his philosophy, Frankie said that his biggest focus has been to chase his dreams no matter the obstacles. “I don’t think it’s the most talented people that succeed, but the ones that want it the most and are willing to go the extra mile for what they believe.”

Frankie Zulferino continues to chase his dreams by making great music and performing with passion. “What sets me apart from other artists is that I am very old school in my approach to music and my career. I want to create incredible music, but I also want to be a great showman.”

Frankie hopes to keep chasing his dreams by creating new, incredible music that moves people. He is hopeful that he can soon tour and perform for crowds around the globe, so he can continue to spread love and joy to people.

Hi Frankie! It’s so great to catch up with you for your new single release for ‘Drippin’ In Love.’ Tell us about this single and the message behind it.

So I’ve been asked this question many times and I want to give you guys a different take on it. When I went into the studio before I even had the idea of Drippin In Love my biggest goal was to create something that felt good. I feel like a lot of music has just been so dark lately and I really wanted to give people something that felt bright, positive and happy again.

How did the song come about? How was it working on the production?
I honestly had so much fun putting this record together. It was about a 6 month process. It started with all the instruments and sounds being tracked to eventually the whole record being recorded live. Which for me took it to a whole nother level.

You’ve credited Elvis as your musical influence. In what ways has his influence played a role in your music?

To me Elvis was truly a rock star. I just love everything he’s embodied and how passionate of a performer he was. I would say as an artist that’s always inspired me to go on stage and give it my all every time.

Have you seen the new Elvis movie yet? What did you think?

I have seen the movie. It was incredible and I think Austin Butler did an amazing job but what I think stood out to me the most though was how much darkness and tribulations he went through and yet he was able to take that pain and turn it into power when he performed.

What’s your philosophy in life?
I would say my philosophy in life has always been to chase your biggest dreams even against all the odds and obstacles. I’ve always told people I don’t think it’s the most talented people that succeed but the ones that want it the most and are willing to go the extra mile for what they believe in.

Who are some of your dream collaborations? Shoot your shot!
Well I have so many, but at the top of my list would be Janet Jackson, Usher, JLo, Elton John, Paula Abdul and I would say me and Lizzo would do a really dope project together.

What is it about your music that sets you apart from the rest of the world?
I think I would say what sets me apart from other artists is that I’m very old school in my approach to my music and my career. I want to create incredible music but I also want to be a great showman. I think that’s been lost a lot over the past couple of years and that’s definitely what I want to bring back to music.

What’s next for you, Frankie?
Right now besides of course putting out new music it’s to continue to build my fan base, to hopefully tour and continue to spread love and joy to people.

Tell us where we can find you and your music!
