There’s something about LA that us Londoners love . From the Beckham’s to James Corden there’s no escaping the Brit Brigade. I popped over for the week to visit some of my favorite hot spots and creative director of LAPALME magazine Derek Warburton. Here we are below checking out the latest issue over lunch at Petit Four on Sunset .
Sleep at The Mondrian hotel. Located in the heart of West Hollywood it boasts one of the best views of the sunset strip. Just look at this image from my bedroom window.
It’s also home to The Sky Bar founded by Randy Gerber husband to the gorgeous supermodel Cindy Crawford has long been a hot spot for the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio, Rod Stewart, Nicole Ritchie and Alessandra Ambrosio.
I based my self out of the Mondrian for all my meetings. There was also a heatwave in LA so I got to do most of them poolside. See below – this definitely beats my London meetings. Just another reason why LA is better.
Sip Green Tea Boba’s at The Urth Cafe one of the most delicious and addictive drinks on the planet. The one on Melrose is great for people watching.
Shop at the Melrose Trading post it’s the most glamorous Flea Market in town every sunday on Fairfax selling everything from vintage Levis and tour t shirts to cowboy boots , cameras and home ware. Something for everyone.
Treat yourself to a treatment with celebrity skin expert Nurse Jamie .Everyone from Katherine Jenkins, Kirsten Dunst and Paris Hilton swear by her. Whether it’s for a facial, B12 shot or to pick up one of her latest must have products at her spa on Santa Monica’s trendy Montana Avenue it’s not to be missed. It’s also super popular with the boys lots of my guy friends head there for B12 shots.
