“A lesson in elegance from the master.”-Winnie Harlow via; Instagram.
Miuccia Prada establishes her validity once more, kickstarting the first major show of Milan fashion week showcased at Fondazione Prada’s Deposito. Displacing what Prada’s PR captioned off as a “poetic geometry” in the name of remodeling Prada’s center for contemporary art and culture, located in the heart of Venice’s San Polo sestiere.
Speaking on redefining elucidation, Prada’s spring/summer 2020 collection exhibited signature Miuccia retro boundaries. In fact Miuccia commented backstage “It’s about personal style, more style, less useless stuff, but things that are meaningful to the person.” In my opinion she was head on confronting the substantiated quandary in fashion today. ‘The need to shrink consumption’ while still managing to expand not only jobs but industry.
Prada has announced that starting with Spring Summer 2020 collection production will have better ethical standards. Banning fur and sustaining a line of recycled nylon , replacing the production of Prada’s virgin nylon line by 2021. On the other hand the SS20 collection wasn’t missing a step especially not with it’s A-lister Attendees, including ASAP Rocky, Sadie Sink, Sunmi and Frank Ocean.
A-line skirts, ribbed polos and Prada’s classically large buttons on blouses and coats were all front and center stage for the SS collection. Simplicity is Prada’s specialty and it was honestly like taking a gasp of air after being saturated and submerged from recent inclination trends in fashion.
